The Helicus C2C is a powerful, cutting-edge solution designed to enhance the operational efficiency and safety of BVLOS drone operations.
It enables operators to simultaneously plan, manage, and monito a complete drone fleet with a high degree of coordination and precision. The C2C provides a robust, user-friendly interface that ensures seamless integration with various drone systems, while prioritizing real-time safety monitoring and compliance with aviation regulations.
The Helicus C2C integrates directly with multiple UA Service Suppliers (USSPs) to streamline airspace planning and takeoff clearance. Instead of navigating separate systems or manually submitting authorization requests, operators access everything through a single, unified interface.
Before each flight, the C2C automatically evaluates the operational area by querying connected USSP networks for real-time airspace intelligence. This includes controlled and restricted airspace data, temporary flight restrictions, NOTAMs, geofencing constraints, and, where available, UTM corridor information.
The system manages operational parameters such as altitude grids and time windows and continuously tracks approval status. If adjustments are necessary, alternative routing or parameter updates can be handled seamlessly within the same workflow.
Before a mission is confirmed, the platform validates that the selected ground location is available, authorized, and suitable for the specific aircraft and operation type.
For distributed networks and enterprise-scale operations, the platform supports centralized oversight of all ground infrastructure. Operators can manage permissions, allocate capacity, track utilization metrics, and maintain a complete audit trail of site reservations and clearances.
Vertiport agnostic platform allows management of interfaced vertiport systems. This includes the Helicus Drone Cargo Port. The C2C allows full manageent ensuring saef fully remote operations.
By combining collaborative data streams with non-collaborative, sensor-based detection, the system captures the full picture of airspace activity. A sophisticated fusion algorithm then consolidates these inputs into a single, coherent traffic overview, filtering noise and resolving conflicts in real time.
The Helicus C2C implements a robust, multi-source detect and avoid capability designed to handle the full complexity of real-world airspace. Traffic-based detect and avoid continuously monitors known manned and unmanned traffic to identify potential conflicts and trigger timely avoidance maneuvers.
Effective airspace management requires more than just detecting traffic, it requires understanding it. The Helicus C2C’s AI-driven friend or foe algorithm continuously processes incoming traffic data, applying intelligent classification to label each detected aircraft based on whether it is expected, authorized, or potentially a threat.
Helicus holds a Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC), allowing us to authorize our own drone operations without requiring individual flight approvals from the national aviation authority. But the value doesn’t stop there — our LUC is available for other operators to fly under, giving them access to a faster, simpler path to authorization for their operations. Whether you’re looking to streamline your approval process or scale your operations more efficiently, flying under the Helicus LUC removes bureaucratic barriers and gets you in the air sooner.
